V’s Barbershop sent out barber Chon Alarcon Friday, April 20 to Vista Del Mar Elementary to help a student give Principal Scott Young a shave. The student won the highest bid at a school fundraiser. “The kids were laughing and screaming,” said John C. Renaud, owner of V’s Bar- bershop. “It was quite a show. Everybody enjoyed it.”
Renaud said the shop has participated in fundraisers before but never an event like the principal’s public shaving. “(Young) was great about it,” the barber- shop owner said.

V’s Barbershop close to opening in Hoboken
Most people in Hoboken don’t get see many of the “changes” that take place during the day (because they’re either at work, glued to their “smart” phones or hungover).
Do you ever wonder how business signs get delivered? Like V’s Barbershop at 1114 Washington Street which is almost ready to open, they had a massive sign delivered via flatbed truck this week. It was crated in a custom made wood frame, ready to mount with just a few screws. That baby probably cost more than most people make in a month! Luckily for them it seems that a hair loss epidemic hasn’t started yet, and business should be steady.
