Does the Andis Head Shaver work if my hair is longer or I haven't shaved in a while?

The Andis Head Shaver works best when hair is short. If you haven't shaved in a while and hair is longer, trim it down first before using the shaver. Rotary shavers are not designed for cutting longer hair and will perform better on close-cropped or stubble-length growth.
